No problems

Got this with a Q9450, OCZ PC26400 Platinum memory, Seagate 500GB HDD, BFG 9600GT OC 512MB etc. It comes with an old bios (0510 I think) which was a bit unstable when changing bios settings, however updating the bios to the latest version (07XX) fixed this.

Superb Board
review by: Robin Vangelder rating:

operating system: Windows Vista

This is by far the best motherboard I have ever owned. Packed with features, INCREDIBLY fast and very very easy to overclock. This board attained several overclocking records and is exceptionally well made. You won't go wrong with this board paired with your LGA775 proccessor.

Custom PC approved, you know this board is something special. It includes a unique 16 power phase design to make it an incredibly energy efficient product. The layout is fantastic, installation was a piece of cake. Updating the BIOS can be done within Windows so no more annoying flashes with a floppy or USB stick.

A generous three year warranty is given with this board aswell as a host of cables, clear manuals and a very handy fan you can attach to the motherboards heat sinks. You won't be disappointed with this board!

Yes it will run "Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400", the board is rated up to DDR 1200.

Current set up:

Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit

Intel E8600 3.33ghz overclocked to 4.5ghz

8gbs of OCZ PC2-8500 @ 1086 mhz

Sapphire 4870X2

Antec Quattro 850W

Antec 1200 Case

You won't get screws with a motherboard as they will come with the computer case.

Beware of NV-120 with this board!
review by: Anonymous rating:
customer rating
operating system: Windows Vista

Mounting a ZeroTherm NV-120 CPU cooler to the CPU is tricky due to the Asus heatsinks around the CPU slot. Basically the fins of the CPU cooler fan were scraping the edge of the heatsink (the one on the South side when mobo is mounted). To resolve this, I've loosened the 2 CPU cooler mounting screws on that side creating a slight slant to prevent the fan fitting the fan. This is possible because the mounting screws are spring-loaded. This was still not quite enuf to stop the scraping completely so I resorted to using some spare cable tie to support the heavy CPU cooler heatsink by looping thru one of the fins and onto one of the holes at the top of my case. Tightening the cable tie with a plier adjusts the total slant I need to stop the fan hitting the mobo heatsink.

Hope this helps someone considering this combination of mobo and CPU cooler. Get another CPU cooler to save from all the hassle.

FYI, the board itself is rock solid and will not disappoint.

Great Board
review by: Anonymous rating:

operating system: Windows Vista

I bought this about a month ago and installed it in an Antec 900 Case. It was very easy to put in, and everything slotted in first time. There are only two problems that I have with this mobo. Firstly, the I/O panel which came with it put a fair bit of pressure on the mobo. Despite this, it is padded, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately it doesn't line up perefectly but that's probably my fault. Everything fits into it though-USB, Mouse, Speakers.

I am now running:

Intel Quad-Core Q6600 @ 2.4ghz

OCZ 4GB DDR2 1000Mhz

ATI Radeon HD4850

Coolermaster 620W Modular PSU

Windows Vista Home Premium

This seriouly looks great, i have had no issues as yet (touch wood) and am to frightened to mess with the bios at the moment, although i don't seem to need to do so, so why bother.

The board seemed small at first, but everything fits on fine, and you get a great manual with it and lots of leads too.

Fine job for the money

Built this into a Sonata III case, if you go with that one, be aware you only have just enough room. You will need to think about the 4 end-on sata sockets and the end-on IDE socket as plugging in anyting else later is a pig. But hey that's my choice!

The mobo is running fine after 2 months using an e8400CPU, hd4670 graphics card 3 sata drives on the stock SonataIII/eartwatts 500w psu.

Win 7 64bit works fine and the virtual xp installation works.

I've been running a Crucial 4gb kit for RAM...crucial Part #: CT2KIT25664AA1067 without issue. The only thing to ignore is the quickstart os for web-browsing without the main os...it only works if you have a hard-wire LAN setup, I'm on wireless, so this feature is useless to me as it won't look for my wireless card...luckily for me it wasn't a selling point.

Overall the build quality is good and no you don't get screws, but I had tons with the case.

All in all a sound mobo for general purpose use...and yes it has options to overclock should you be that way inclined.
