Great Cheap Processor
operating system:Windows 7I got this processor to go with a PC I have just built. Very quick and the on board graphics are good too. Obviously, not good enough for gamers, but if you are like me and use computers for everyday use only (i.e. internet, word, excel, some AutoCAD) then this is perfect!!
GREAT FOR GAMING
operating system:Windows 7Got this for new gaming rig - brilliant for price with 2 HD5850 in XFire - would totally recommend buying this over i5 2500k and spend the rest on GPU- it plays Crysis 2 at Ultra settings.

operating system:Windows 7I have been an AMD fan for a long time now but I decided to upgrade my PC. After doing alot of research I decided to try this CPU.
My last CPU was a Phenom 9650 triple core and I must say this Intel CPU kicks it butt!
Windows and games are running great. DVDFab now converts a DVD into Ipod format at a stonking 375 frames per second, the best I got from my AMD is 72 fps.
The only minor niggle is that the bundled fan is quite noisy.
This processor is a great budget PC upgrade.
Still a great Gaming CPU
operating system:Windows 7Noticed a couple of people have said this is no good for gaming? Don't agree at all, now have Battlefield 3 running in max settings / i3 2120/crossfire rig - you only need 2 cores @ 100% to run this game - so again, my advice is buy this and put the rest towards your graphics.
True, some games (which ones?) are supposed to be optimized for quad core - but I haven't come across any problems with any games (Crysis 2/Metro etc) with this CPU. RECOMMENDED.
