Product Description
High Performance Thermal Compound for the EnthusiastMX-2 is a high thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance compound for components that require optimum thermal dissipation. It is ideally suited for use in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heat sinks where thermal conductivity is a major factor.

Safe to apply anywhere
Since the MX-2 does not contain any metal particles, there are no problems regarding electrical conductivity or capacitance. Unlike other silver and copper compounds, MX-2 ensures that contact to electrical traces, pins and leads cannot result in any damage.
Durability
With MX-2 no curing and no bleeding of the compound are possible. In contrast to other products, this compound does not show decreasing performance over time, does not need to be reapplied and has a durability of at least 8 years.

Better than AS 5

Not ApplicableAfter my motherboard died on me i needed to apply new grease to my CPU but could not find the Arctic Silver 5 that i been using before, so i decided to buy some MX-2 Thermal grease after reading a lot of good reviews.
What a difference it has made. Temps are down a couple of degrees more than the AS5.
I have used AS5 on many machines and rate it very highly but we now have a new champ in MX-2.

apply a thin layer, but not so thin you can see the surface underneath it, OCd e2180 with AC Freezer 7 Pro @ 3GHz 28*c idle, OCd 4850 765MHz/1120MHz 38*c idle with AC Accelero S1 rev.2 & 120mm 2000RPM TriCool fan
nothbridge & southbridge allot cooler, even my face is cooler

Windows XPI got this paste to apply on my quad core cpu q6600. Great paste, keeps my cpu temps low as possible even with my standard stock cooler.
I am currently getting Around 28degrees Idle or just surfing the web and about 45degrees full load Including my Insanely long gaming sessions, not to forget that its been cold in London lately so my heating is constantly on full blast.
worked perfect for me and I would Highly recommend this to anyone.

I have received my package this morning, fast delivery from ebuyer so I gave five stars. Weight of MX-2 Thermal Compound is 4 grams. I though to mention it, since ebuyer did NOT state that.
Does the job
operating system:
Windows XPI had an over heating ATI x1950xt graphics card which reached core temperatures of up to 110c under load which caused system restarts and crashes. After applying MX-2 temperatures dropped to 80c max under load with 50% fan speed.

Cool running
operating system:
Windows 7Easily as good as Aritc Silver in my opinion, but costs less. Temp reduction of 5C achieved by removing the standard Intel heatsink thermal pad and replacing with MX-2 in a friend's E6750 standard Heatsink/fan.
