OEM?
Again and again, people submit reviews complaining about things not included or not in the description. OEM means you get the product only NOTHING else! Dont knock stars from a good product because of your ignorance? Original equipment manufacturer, or OEM means it is not a retail package and thats why you save money, because there is no wasteful packaging, instructions or anything else.
Read my words carefully
As stated in my original review I purchased this product because it was an OEM CPU. I was simply stating buy this CPU and buy a fan. Don't buy retail. If people read my words the way they were written they might understand this. Also with regards to "knocking off stars", it is a review for a reason. You get to make your own mind up on a product. Stop being defensive of a product, unless you work for Intel. In that case you shouldn't be reading reviews, you should be trying to get this item back in stock (08-08-08)
Go OEM. 45NM great chip
operating system:Windows XPI have this chip running in a MSI P7N Diamond. Runs great. Go OEM and get yourself a better fan. Don't pay 10 quid for a fan you will throw out after 10 minutes.
nice chip but no fan
operating system:Windows Vistafor this you get a great processor but it comes in a tiny little box.... no fancy packaging, no fan, no instructions!
it's not difficult to get it into your mobo and the mobo instructions should suffice. more of a concern is that there is no fan included and this is not clear from the description. having said that, i agree with the other review, better to get a decent (quiet) fan for yourself.
overall, good buy
