The case had sponge lining the inside of the case so you cant even hear that it is on. but wow windows boots in about 15 secs and shuts down in 7 secs, but thats before all the sound stuff goes on.

operating system:Windows 7got this little baby today along with the asus m5a97 pro motherboard
worked staight out of the box even though bios was older 0705 still detected cpu and was able to update bios to 0902 , the chip dose run quiet hot 36/42c ideal depending on room temp on air cooled with supplied stock cooler that is one of the better ones iv seen for a stock cooler coper base and heat pipes , i reccomend a good water cooler unit h80/h100 if have the case room , havnt really put cpu to the test yet but every thing runs smooth so far , iv allways been amd fan ok the fx cpu"s havnt had the best reviews but i dont care its 8 cores 16mb cach and easy clock to 4ghz water cooled , microsoft have released a hotfix to address threading logic in win 7 link below

Previous Reviewers Build - Please note
Having purchased the previous reviewers build. The Artic Freeezer Cooler Pro 7 will not fit exactly on that asus motherboard as it pushes one bank of Memory a little bit.
Way to solve it - dremmel a bit of the plastic off the corner of the fan, you get a tight fit but nothing is being pushed.
Otherwise choose a smaller cooler or use the stock one that comes with the Processor.
Processor on the other hand in blindingly quick. Well worth it bang for buck!!!
Heatsink
Just a quick comment for those finding problems with memory and heatsinks. I use a Coolermaster V8 this as well as providing superb aircooling also allows you to use memory with high heatsinks without moding the cooler heatsink.
