As always, ASUS makes servers that deliver superior performance. In this generation, the ASUS RS300-E8-RS4 supports the latest Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3 processor family with advanced computing power that can easily work at up to sustainable 40 degrees centigrade stress while reducing power loss. In addition, the ASUS RS300-E8-RS4 offers two expansion slots as well as one ASUS PIKE slot, an internal SSD cage for independent OS drive space, and complete remote server management through ASWM Enterprise and ASMB7-iKVM.

The RS300-E8-RS4 is ready for new-generation Intel Xeon 22nm processors, which deliver a significant performance improvement over previous-generation processors in virtualization support, integrated security, scalability, and I/O performance. They assure frustration-free smooth operation.

2+1 expandability in UP 1U
The RS300-E8-RS4 ships with 2+1 expansion slots in a 1U system for higher expandability and better data protection. It has one PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and one PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot to accommodate the power of two dual full-height add-on cards. An extra slot is reserved for optional ASUS PIKE cards for cost effective upgrades to SAS storage and RAID protection. Better networking with new quad server-grade Intel® I210 Ethernet
Four server-grade Intel® Ethernet ports with the I210 controller double queuing capacity compared to previous-generation Intel® Ethernet 82574L controllers, powering faster data transmission. In addition, quad LAN teaming ports provide high networking bandwidth with load balance and fault tolerance functions, which reduce data processing bottlenecks in virtualization environments by increasing virtualized traffic.

Best-in-class power efficiency and stability
With new ASUS Beat Thermal Choke technology, operating temperatures drop by as much as 5 degrees centigrade, helping ensure the lowest energy loss and up to 91% (VR) efficiency. The RS300-E8-RS4 is able to work stably under high ambient temperature environments of up to a sustained 40 degrees centigrade. It also includes 1+1 80 PLUS Gold power supplies to reduce power loss and power consumption, helping consumers save on total cost of ownership.

Optimized user experience design
A front VGA port provides greater convenience and flexibility, allowing customers to connect a monitor from the front. There is also an "asset tag" on every RS300-E8-RS4 for better identification within a server cluster. ASUS further furnishes several choices for OS drive placement, such as SSD and SATA DOM cages, plus internal Type A USB.

Comprehensive remote management
ASUS presents the most comprehensive and complete server remote management, including both out of band ASMB7-iKVM and in-band ASWM Enterprise. ASWM Enterprise features "one on many management", saving time and effort. Its intuitive graphical user interface offers quick insight into current server status as well as detailed and easily-accessible asset management for each server.
